Gap's Crown Vineyard

Gapʼs Crown is one of the highly acclaimed North Coast Vineyards known for its layered Pinot Noirs. We work with two blocks, block 13, Dijon 777 and block 8, Dijon 667. Block 13 is close to the southeast corner of the vineyard on gravely clay loam and block 8 is an elevated plane overlooking block 777. The soils are rocky clay loam.  The tiny berries of block 13, Dijon 777,  are the backbone, giving the wine its structure. Block 8, Dijon 667, brings the perfume and mouthfeel.  The wine is elegant and racy, a true representation of the Sonoma Coast AVA.
